Quest brief
Bring the Scientist the requested smaller catches, receive Fish Bucket / Whale Bait, keep the Bowhead body and carry it into the Volcano trigger for the final fight.
Quest steps
- Speak to the Scientist and read the current requested-catch list before fishing; the exact hand-in must match the active quest state.
- Return all requested smaller catches to receive the Fish Bucket used as Whale Bait.
- Use the Fish Bucket to catch Bowhead Whale, then keep the defeated body instead of selling, cooking or discarding it.
- Carry the Bowhead body into the Volcano trigger and defeat Mutated Bowhead Whale.
- Take the final transport after the fight to trigger the finish-game check and ending achievement.
Before the final fight
The final boss death and the ending transport are separate checkpoints. Handyman also checks only the finishing hit, so lower the boss normally and reserve a bare-fist-strength hit under 5 damage for the last blow.
